Yeddyurappa to convene meeting on highway project

Under constant attack from opposition JD-S and Congress over the affairs of NICE, the promoters of Bangalore Mysore Infrastructure Corridor (BMIC) project, Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa today said he would convene a meeting of top leaders of the two parties early next month.

“All prominent leaders of Congress and JD-S will be called to that meeting to find out a solution to the project,” he told reporters here in an apparent to bid to ensure that the NICE row did not hit the prospects of BJP in the March 28 elections to Bruhut Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP).
