Yeddyurappa leaving on a weeklong visit to China tomorrow

images3Bangalore: Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa will lead a high level delegation of Ministers and officials to China on Tuesday. It will be a weeklong visit during which the Chief Minister will hold several meetings to attract investments to the State.The Chief Minister will arrive in Beijing at 2.55 p.m. on Wednesday and have an interaction with the Indian Ambassador to China.On Thursday, he will have a series of meetings with Chinese leaders and Ministers, and on Friday he will visit agricultural farms on the outskirts of Beijing. The Chief Minister will be in Shanghai on
Saturday, Sunday and Monday and hold discussions with officials.

Sources in the State Government told The Hindu that the China trip of the Chief Minister will give a boost to the global investors’ meet being organised in January.As part of the investors’ meet, the State Government is organising roadshows within the country and abroad.

The Indian Embassy in China, in consultation with the State Government, has organised meetings with the corporate sector in Beijing and
Shanghai and over a 100 corporate leaders are expected to attend the two meetings. Added to this would be the meetings with the investors’ forum at Shanghai and Beijing.
