Yeddyurappa favours internal quota for Madigas

Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa has promised that his Government will in the next session of the Legislative Assembly get a resolution passed on providing internal reservation for the Madiga community.He was speaking after inaugurating the State-level Madiga convention and the launch of development works for Madara Channaiah Gurupeetha here on Saturday.He asserted that after the passage of the resolution, he would visit New Delhi, along with Ministers and MPs from the State, to urge the Union Government to approve the resolution.Funds The Government had granted Rs. 10 crore towards implementation of the Sadashiv Committee report, Mr. Yeddyurappa said.
