Yeddyurappa has said that implementing the Kabini second stage project to irrigate fields in Chamarajanagar will be the top priority of his Government. MYSORE: Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa on Sunday predicted the end of the Congress after the Lok Sabha elections. “Mahatma Gandhi wanted the Indian National Congress dissolved after the Partition, and the time for it has come now,” he said. ‘Infighting’Speaking to presspersons here, he hit out at the Congress leaders for their criticism of his Government’s performance.
“They (the Congress leaders) know how to make noise only when Sonia Gandhi comes to the State. Afterwards, they start fighting among themselves,” he noted. Mr. Yeddyurappa claimed that the Congress and the Janata Dal (Secular) had become scared of the BJP’s popularity in the State.That was why they were talking of toppling the Government. MOODBIDRI: Chief Minister B. S. Yeddyurappa has said that the Bharatiya Janata Party will win in 14 of the 17 Lok Sabha constituencies where elections were held in the State on Thursday. He claimed that he has received reports to this effect.Addressing a gathering here during his series of election campaign programmes at various places in Dakshina Kannada on Thursday, Mr. Yeddyurappa said that of the remaining 11 Lok Sabha constituencies which would go to polls on April 30, the BJP would win in eight or nine constituencies. SHIMOGA: Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa said here on Wednesday his Government would give more attention towards administrative matters after the Lok Sabha elections as there was much to be done to rise to the expectations of the people.
Addressing presspersons, he said that the response to the Bharatiya Janata Party candidates in the elections was overwhelming throughout the State. “I never expected such a good response to my party candidates,” he said adding that the results would come in favour of the BJP in such a way that they would prove to be a trendsetter.
