Opposition not inclined to debate NICE: BSY

BANGALORE: A day after the close of the legislature session, Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa hurled a NICE volley on the Opposition. The Opposition was not inclined to discuss the Bangalore-Mysore Infrastructure Corridor (BMIC) project of the Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Enterprise (NICE) much as the government wanted a discussion on the subject, he said.Addressing reporters on Saturday, the CM claimed he had broached the matter several times but the Opposition — the JD(S) in particular — did not pick up the tab. Maintaining that the JD(S) had been making “baseless allegations” on his government’s role vis-a-vis the project, Yeddyurappa noted that the matter could have been discussed with the permission of the Speaker.People themselves will decide on the charges hurled against him by the father and the sons, Yeddyurappa said in reference to JD(S) chief HD Deve Gowda and his family.
