The state government has ordered the police not to lathicharge farmers Replying to a debate on the lathicharge of agitiating farmers in Chamarajnagar and Davangere at the legislative assembly on Wednesday, chief minister B S Yeddyurappa said: “Our government is pro-farmers. There will be no more lathicharge on farmers. I have already directed the officials about it.”
