With the BBMP election win, the BJP had given a befitting reply to the opposition and it was nothing but a pointer to the rising strength of BJP and weakening opposition. He called upon the Congress and JD(S) to make a self-assessment of their performance, instead of merely making scathing remarks against BJP.On power shortage in the state he said the Government was trying to get 200 MW of power from Gujarat. Plans were afoot to establish 1400 MW capacity power plant near Bidadi near the state capital.He challenged the opposition to make an assessment of the achievement of present Government and compare it with the 40 year long rule of the Congress. The state had witnessed all-round progress on most fronts. But the opposition had been harping on the same issues without trying to assess the progress in an objective manner.
