Karnataka plan outlay fixed at Rs 31 K crore

The Planning Commission has fixed Rs 31,050 crore as the annual plan outlay of Karnataka, a hike of 19 per cent on the revised estimate of 2009-10.Expressing satisfaction at the allocation, Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa said the money would be mobilised to fund development activities.After his meeting with Deputy Chairperson of PlanningCommission Montek Singh Ahluwalia, Yeddyurappa said fiscal deficit is well within three per cent of Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) and the consolidated debt of Karnataka was less than 28 per cent of GSDP.
