After dithering a little, Bangalore’s big names finally opened their purses for the flood-affected on Thursday.
IT major Infosys has pledged Rs 30 crore and promised to build 3,000 houses, Biocon and other biotech companies will build another 3,000 houses (Rs 30 core); the Century Group 2,000 houses (Rs 20 crore) and the ABC group, which owns the Cafe Coffee Day chain, 1,000 houses (Rs 10 crore).
