Holding meetings at government offices is just a click away. In a bid to achieve quick decision-making, increase productivity and ensure cost-effective communication, Karnataka government on Monday introduced video conferencing to connect all its offices in the state. After launching Karnataka State Wide Area Network (KSWAN), chief minister B S Yeddyurappa said the new system will obviate the need of officers from Bangalore travelling all the way to Gulbarga or any other distant place and vice-versa to just hold a meeting. This will not only ensure transparency but also save time and cost, he added.
