CM to call on Centre for more funds

A delegation led by chief minister B S Yeddyurappa will meet the Prime Minister on Tuesday to seek more grants for flood relief
and rehabilitation.The CM along with his team left for Delhi on Monday night. The state government will ask the Centre to declare the devastation a national calamity, provide temporary assistance of Rs 6,000 crore, waive off farmers’ loans, allocate two lakh houses under the Indira Awaz Yojana, and provide money to shift 220 flood-prone villages.
