The road show which began G P Palya circle was accompanied by a huge crowd of people that accompanied the vehicle that carried the Chief Minister and other leaders.

BJP flags fluttered even as the CM’s arrival at Bommanahalli Circle was greeted with the deafening noise fire crackers.  .

The Chief Minister stopped at Bommanahalli circle to address the enthusiastic supporters who had assembled in large numbers.  There was a shower of power petals from the flyover as the cavalcade stopped for a brief while.   Addressing the party supporters Chief Minister said Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has been trying to make a fool of Bangaloreans by telling lies.  Demanding an apology from Rahul Gandhi for his irresponsible statements saying the state has not spent the Rs. 1000 crores allocated to the state Sri Yeddyurappa said the government will come out with statistics to nail the lies of Rahul Gandhi.

BJP candidate Sri Ananth Kumar urged the people to elect him with a thumping majority for the 5th consecutive time.  Minister R Ashok requested the people to attend the election rally of BJP leader Sri L K Advani to be held at Basavanagudi National Grounds tomorrow.

The cavalcade containing the BJP leaders was accompanied by BJP supporters, some of whom adopted novel methods to grab the attention of the people.  One BJP supporter had painted his whole body in BJP’s flag colours of green and saffron, his completely shaved head had the lotus symbol and some currency notes dangled from both his ears. He held the BJP flag high even as the bike carrying him and was a spectacle to watch as photographers and common man alike swarmed around him.

There was young man who impersonated as Mahatma Gandhi.  His body including his clean shaven head was painted in silver colour and as drew as a pillion rider with a stick in the hand.

The cavalcade then moved towards Chennakeshavanagar where leaders including the Chief Minster addressed the assembled gathering. Amidst slogans and cries of “BJP jai” the road show went on in the area.  After two ours of show in the sweltering heat Chief Minister finally bid goodbye allowing Ananth Kumar to go ahead with the road show.

The campaign by Chief Minister on behalf of Anantha Kumar will certainly give rest to rumours  that both the party leaders don’t see eye to eye.  It was indeed a show of solidarity by BJP leaders and would give a boost to the campaign of Ananth Kumar in Bangalore South constituency.
