MANDYA: Terming the Congress party a sinking ship, Minister for Transport R Ashok said that the Congress would vanish from the state after the LS polls.Speaking at a party workers’ meet here on Sunday, Ashok said that the countdown for the decimation of the party has started and KPCC president R V Deshpande and working president D K Shivakumar were assigned the task to conduct the last rites of the party.Criticising former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy, Ashok said that HDK doesn’t come close to the political stature of chief minister B S Yeddyurappa. “Yeddyurappa got the top post after he served as opposition leader for four decades. Kumaraswamy became the chief minister in a cinematic style,” he said.
