Karnataka chief minister BS Yeddyurappa today thanked railway minister Mamata Banerjee for presenting a ‘pro-people budget and sanctioning a number of railway projects for his state.Four new railway lines and eight new railway projects have been sanctioned on a cost sharing basis, apart from five under PPP (Public Private Partnership). Nine new trains are proposed in the Budget and extension of some trains has also been approved for Karnataka, he said in a letter to her.
