The BJP will ride on the people’s support to emerge victorious in the coming Bangalore City Corporation elections as people were convinced by its programmes of all round development of the tech hub, Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa said today.Speaking to reporters before visiting Revenue Minister G Karunakara Reddy’s home to attend a religious function, the Chief Minister said the misinformation campaign of the Opposition Congress and Janata Dal (S) would come to a naught as people in the state capital had reposed faith in the BJP.He said the BJP would emulate its earlier performance when it won 18 of the 28 Assembly segments in Bangalore.The Chief Minister said the party faced no dissident activities unlike the Opposition parties while the tickets for the Bruhut Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) elections were given.”There is no confusion among the BJP leadership and the worker support has been overwhelming. We are fully confident of facing this election amid the unfounded allegation of the two Opposition parties. We will come out victorious,” he stressed.He said citizens of the IT city would support the BJP candidates taking into consideration the performance of his government in improving the living standards of the people.
