266 flood-hit villages to be shifted: Yeddyurappa

Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa today said 266 flood-hit villages which faced inundation during monsoon every year would be shifted to higher places and the government would build model villages for all these families by March next year.

Addressing a public meeting after he launched a programme in Kongwad Village of Navalgund Taluk of Dharwad District, he said officials of the villages concerned were asked to prepare the action plan and submit it within eight days.
