15 Ministers, 30 top officials put in-charge of rain relief work

Bangalore: The rain havoc in at least six districts of Karnataka, which resulted in large-scale destruction of private and public property along with the Herculean task of providing relief to the affected people, has prompted the State Government to direct its employees to refrain from taking leave for the next one month. The toll in the rains has touched 168.

Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa, who is leading the relief and rescue operations, has put 15 Ministers and 30 top officials of the State Government as in-charge to oversee relief work in the rain-affected districts.
