junior doctors’ demands would be taken in June- CM

bsy-_photoBangalore:  Chief minister B S Yeddyurappa told reporters on Monday that a concrete decision on the junior doctors’ demands would be taken in June. “Election code of conduct is still in force. The government is unable to take any decision now as it would attract the wrath of the Election Commission,” the CM said.

Claiming that the state government is a better pay master than the neighbouring states, Yeddyurappa said his government has increased stipend to house surgeons from Rs 3,000 to Rs 6,000, for post-graduates from Rs 6,000 to Rs 11,000 and for super speciality doctors from Rs 6,595 to Rs 13,000.
