ಇನ್‌ಫೋಸಿಸ್‌ನ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಎನ್.ಆರ್. ನಾರಾಯಣಮೂರ್ತಿ ಅವರೆ,

ಗಣ್ಯರೆ,  ಇನ್‌ಫೋಸಿಸ್‌ನ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ವರ್ಗದವರೆ,

ಮಾಧ್ಯಮದ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರೆ,  ಆತ್ಮೀಯರೆ,

ನಾಡಹಬ್ಬ ದಸರಾದಿಂದಾಗಿ ಜಾಗತಿಕ ಮನ್ನಣೆ ಪಡೆದಿರುವ ಮೈಸೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ, ಅದೇ ರೀತಿಯ ಮನ್ನಣೆಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆದಿರುವ ಇನ್‌ಫೋಸಿಸ್ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಜಾಗತಿಕ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಕೇಂದ್ರದ ಎರಡನೆ ಘಟಕವನ್ನು ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸುವ ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಸಂತೋಷದಿಂದ ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
ಏಕ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಮಾರು ೧೦,೦೦೦ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ತರಬೇತಿಯನ್ನು ನೀಡುವಂತಹ ಅತ್ಯಾಧುನಿಕ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯವುಳ್ಳ, ಎಲ್ಲಾ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಪರಿಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿರುವ ಭಾರತದ ಅತಿದೊಡ್ಡ ತರಬೇತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರವು ಮೈಸೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಗುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ನಮ್ಮೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಯ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿದೆ.
ಕರುನಾಡ ಕೀರ್ತಿಯು ವಿಶ್ವಮಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ರಾರಾಜಿಸಲು ಕಾರಣವಾಗಿರುವ ಇನ್‌ಫೋಸಿಸ್‌ನ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ, ಅಚ್ಚಕನ್ನಡಿಗರಾದ  ಶ್ರೀ ಎನ್.ಆರ್. ನಾರಾಯಣಮೂರ್ತಿಯವರಿಗೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಇಡೀ ಇನ್‌ಫೋಸಿಸ್ ಕುಟುಂಬಕ್ಕೆ ನನ್ನ ಅಭಿನಂದನೆಗಳು.
ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ನಂತರ ಅತೀ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಐಟಿ ಕಂಪನಿಗಳನ್ನು ಆಕರ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ನಗರ ಮೈಸೂರಾಗಿದೆ.  ಐದು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ಕೇವಲ ೧೦-೧೨ ಐಟಿ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳಿದ್ದ ಮೈಸೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಇಂದು ೫೬ ಐಟಿ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳು ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ಅಂದಾಜು ೧೩೭೪ ಕೋಟಿ ರೂ.ಗಳ ಮೌಲ್ಯದ ಸಾಪ್ಟ್‌ವೇರ್ ಮೈಸೂರಿನಿಂದಲೇ ರಫ್ತಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂಬುದು ಮೈಸೂರಿನ ಪ್ರಾಮುಖ್ಯತೆಯನ್ನು ಸೂಚಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
ಇನ್‌ಫೋಸಿಸ್‌ನ ಕ್ಯಾಂಪಸ್, ಮೈಸೂರಿನ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ಮುಕುಟಮಣಿ ಎಂಬುದರಲ್ಲಿ ಎರಡು ಮಾತಿಲ್ಲ.

Ladies and Gentlemen,
•    Let me take this opportunity to extend a wholehearted welcome on behalf of the people of Karnataka and on my personal behalf to madam Soniaji for having graced this function.
•    Mysore is known all over the globe for its Dasara Festival.  With the opening of the Mysore Campus of Infosys in 2005, the city of Mysore has created it’s global footprint in information technology.
•    Started with just 250 dollar investment and Zero infrastructure by Sri Narayana Murthy and seven other young professionals in 1981, Infosys became the first Indian Company to be listed and added to the NASDAQ-100 (ನ್ಯಾಸ್‌ಡ್ಯಾಕ್) Index.
•    Over the years it has scaled and evolved into a truly global brand, retaining its inherent values of Karnataka.
•    I am very happy to say that Infosys is one of the very few companies to have provided new employment in the state and in the country even in the tough recession time.
•    By being the bellweather company in the IT sector, infosys has contributed significantly to build up the IT image of India globally.
•    The company has not only created new business models but also new working environment in the process, keeping both its clients and employees happy all the times.
•    Infosys is known for its courage to dream, will to work, the passion to excel and the grit to take the next giant step.
•    All of these qualities are reflected in the Global Education Center which is being inaugurated today.
•    With a built up area of more than 10 lakh sq. ft.,  this building complex has a unique mix of Greek, Roman and Indian architecture features.
•    This certainly represents the ambiance of heritage of Mysore city, which is all the more visible during this Dasara Celebrations.

Friends,
•    Our government is keen to support IT sector through policy initiatives and programmes.
•    We have constituted special task forces under the guidance of experts in various fields for providing direction for formulating and implementing development policies.
•    Some of them are: Vision group on Science and Technology headed by renowned scientist Prof. C.N.R. Rao;  Karnataka Knowledge Commission under the Chairmanship of Dr. Kasturirangan; Industry Vision Group under the Chairmanship of Shri Krish Gopalkirshna, CEO of Infosys.
•    Karnataka is an investment friendly   state.  We have taken many steps to sensitize administration and attract new investments in various sectors.
•    We are considering offering liberal fiscal incentives and concessions, particularly to the IT industry under the IT policy which is under revision.
•    We will be organising a Global Investors Meet in January 2010 to attract foreign direct investment and local investment in industry, tourism and infrastructure sectors.  We are hopeful to attract huge investment in all these sectors, which will also help our economy to come out of recession.
•    The aim of the state government is to see that, there is even economic growth and all the citizens draw benefits of economic prosperity.
•    We are giving special incentives for starting Rural BPOs to cater to the rural youth. e-Governance is also our priority.  Wide Area Network will be commissioned very soon connecting taluk places with the State Head Quarters.
•    Bio-metric photo identity cards are being issued to the BPL families.
•    Karnataka would like to be the first State to introduce the Unique Identity Number as being planned by the Unique Identity Authority of India under the Chairmanship of Shri Nandan Nilekani.
•    At this critical juncture of global economic recession, the IT industry has to further innovate to have competitive edge.
•    Electronic waste is a huge challenge before us.  Developed countries are making use of developing countries like India to dump their dangerous e-waste, causing severe ecological and health problems.
•    I request the Chairman of the UPA, Madam Sonia ji to take necessary measures to control this menace of e-waste by enacting a Central Legislation.
•    I also request for full support and co-operation of the center for all the developmental initiatives of the State, including IT-BT sector.

ಬಂಧುಗಳೆ,
ಮಾಹಿತಿ ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕಕ್ಕೆ ವಿಶಿಷ್ಟ ಸ್ಥಾನವಿದೆ.  ಕಳೆದ ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಮಾರು ೭೫ ಸಾವಿರ ಕೋಟಿ ರೂ.ಗಳಿಗೂ ಅಧಿಕ ಮೌಲ್ಯದ ಸಾಪ್ಟ್‌ವೇರ್ ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ರಫ್ತು ಮಾಡುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯವು ಈ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಪ್ರಥಮ ಸ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲಿದೆ.
೨೦೧೧ರ ವೇಳೆಗೆ ಸುಮಾರು ಒಂದು ಲಕ್ಷ ಕೋಟಿ ರೂ.ಗಳ ಮೌಲ್ಯದ ಸಾಪ್ಟ್‌ವೇರ್ ರಫ್ತು ಮಾಡುವ ಗುರಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಒಟ್ಟಾರೆ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯವು ಭಾರತದ ಐಟಿಬಿಟಿ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ಒಟ್ಟು ರಫ್ತಿನ ಶೇ.೩೭ರಷ್ಟನ್ನು ತನ್ನದಾಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದೆ ಎಂಬ ಅಂಶವನ್ನು ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಯಿಂದ ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ನೆನಪು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಮಹಾನಗರದ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ, ಮೈಸೂರಿನಂತಹ ೨ನೇ ಹಂತದ ನಗರಗಳ ಮೂಲಭೂತ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯಗಳ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಗೂ ನಿರ್ದಿಷ್ಟ ಕಾಲಬದ್ಧ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳನ್ನು ನಾವು ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇವೆ.
ಇದೇ ತಿಂಗಳ ೨೨ರಂದು ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿಮಾನ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನೆ ಆಗಲಿದೆ.
ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಕಾನೂನು ಮತ್ತು ಸುವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ಸದೃಢವಾಗಿದೆ. ಸಮಾಜದ ಶೋಷಿತವರ್ಗದ, ದಲಿತರ, ಮಹಿಳೆಯರ, ಅಲ್ಪಸಂಖ್ಯಾತರ, ಅಂಗವಿಕಲರ ಇತ್ಯಾದಿಯಾಗಿ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಯೊಂದೇ ನಮ್ಮ ನಿರಂತರ ಮಂತ್ರವಾಗಿದೆ.

•    Only yesterday, India Today, a leading and reputed national weekly has brought out a State of the States Report.  Based on this Report, Karnataka has been awarded the Fast Mover denoting Most Improved State in the category of Law and Order.  This report has recognized our Government’s commitment and efforts in ensuring peace and harmony in our society.

ಮುಂದಿನ ೪ ವರ್ಷಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕವು ಒಂದು ಮಾದರಿ ರಾಜ್ಯವಾಗಬೇಕೆಂಬುದು ನಮ್ಮ ಆಶಯ.  ಈ ಹಾದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇನ್‌ಫೋಸಿಸ್ ತರಹದ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳ ಸಹಕಾರವನ್ನು ನಾನು ಕೋರುತ್ತೇನೆ.
ಇನ್ಫೋಸಿಸ್ ಇನ್ನೂ ಎತ್ತರಕ್ಕೆ ಬೆಳೆದು ಜಗತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ಕಂಪನಿಗಳ ಸಾಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅಗ್ರಗಣ್ಯ ಸ್ಥಾನ ಪಡೆಯಲೆಂದು ಹಾರೈಸುತ್ತೇನೆ.

•    I also take this opportunity to welcome Smt. Sonia Gandhi ji to the grand Dasara celebrations to be held at Mysore from 19th to 28th of this month.

ನಿಮ್ಮೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಪರವಾಗಿ ಹಾಗೂ ನನ್ನ ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕವಾಗಿ ನಾಡಹಬ್ಬಕ್ಕೆ ಸ್ವಾಗತ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಮುಂಗಡವಾಗಿ ದಸರಾ ಶುಭಾಶಯಗಳನ್ನು ಕೋರುತ್ತೇನೆ.
