Chief Minister Offers Puja At Nanjanagudu Temple

 

Yeddyurappa travels by road from Mandakalli Airport

Nanjangud, Mar. 23 (KCU& RS)- Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa arrived here this morning by road from Mandakalli Airport in Mysore and offered puja at the Srikanteshwara temple.

He was accompanied by Ministers Murugesh Nirani & S.A. Ramdas and MLCs Thontadarya & Prof. K.R. Mallikarjunappa.

He was accorded a warm and traditional welcome at the temple by Pradhan Archaks Neelakanta Dixit, Sadashiva and Narayana Jois.

Dy. Commissioner Harsha Gupta, Temple Executive Officer Ramamurthy, Asst. Commissioner Bharathi, ZP Vice-President Dr. Shivaram and Taha-sildar Naveen Joseph were present.

The CM participated in Rudra parayana and Rudrabhisheka with 128 Archaks specially deputed for the ritual, chanting the hymns in chorus.

Speaking to press persons, Yeddyurappa said, “There is no dissidence in the State BJP and it is only the media which is concocting on presumptions.”

“K.S. Eshwarappa (State BJP President) holding a meeting is only to strengthen the party and not to breed dissidence as misinterpreted by media. I am stable and BJP will govern the State for another 10 years with the Lord’s blessings,” Yeddyurappa said.

Earlier, the CM arrived at Mandakalli Airport in Mysore by a special flight from Bangalore. He was accorded a guard of honour and left immediately for Nanjan-gud by car. He declined to speak to the media, it is learnt. The CM was scheduled to inaugurate Nestle India Unit in Nanjangud at the time we went to press.
