The Karnataka government is taking steps to provide 24 hours power supply to rural areas under the Grameen Niranthara Vidyut Yojana, Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa said today. Speaking after laying the foundation stone for a mega thermal power station at Edlapur, near Raichur here, he said efforts were on to overcome the existing power crisis in the State.
