BANGALORE: Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa was on Monday honoured with the “Fastest Mover Award” in the Law and Order category presented by India Today. The award was presented to him by Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukharjee at a function in New Delhi.Speaking to presspersons after the award function, Mr. Yeddyurappa said: “It gives me immense satisfaction on being conferred the award
and it has elevated our morale in the field of law and order maintenance in the State, even though Opposition parties are levelling charges over the prevailing law and order situation in Karnataka”.
The Chief Minister said “India Today Group has recognised our Government’s efforts in improving law and order in Karnataka by giving the award ‘Fastest Mover’. The award coming from a publishing house is a true honour and an inspiration to do better in the days to come. The church attack incident at Hebbagodi on the outskirts of Bangalore, is unfortunate. Vested interests are behind this attack.”
