BSY, Kumble visit Sparsh,cheer kids

BANGALORE, DHNS: Twenty four children with orthopedic disorders were successfully treated on the 6th day of the Sparsh Vachana event at the Sparsh Hospital here on Saturday. The various corrective surgeries done on Saturday were open reduction of dislocated hip, osteogenesis imperfecta of the tibia, reconstruction of old infected hip and clubbed foot.

Karnataka Industry promises Rs 500 crore for relief works

Representatives of Industry and private organisations today promised Karnataka Government that they would contribute Rs 500 crore to construct 50,000 houses for those displaced by floods in North Karnataka.An assurance to this effect was held out at a meeting convened by Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa.
